Only happens the first time saving, though. I still get a weird spike in VRAM use when first opening the "save game" feature, though. Great lighting changes (the outdoor and firepit areas look especially nice now) and an extra large thank you for clearing up the VRAM usage! My videocard's fan is especially grateful. Maybe flag her to not use the hot tub until after this quest? During the previous update, she seemed to mostly hide in the spare room. "My clothes are soaked.and something to dry off" etc., seems a little odd when she's submersed in water while saying as much. In this new update, I had the dialogue with her about her beer-soaked clothing while she was lounging in the hot tub. I am also on board with alternate outfits or even simple texture swaps for clothing. How are the dev team feeling about the leaps and strides that have been made in the time the game has been available? Hopefully it has provided a sense of satisfaction.
House party outfit update#
I can understand a reluctance to need to update an older set of models to constantly keep up with engine changes and implementations. I'd imagine that adding or taking advantage of certain rendering features makes it necessary to add properties and types of displacement etc. Thanks for the support! Thank you for the reply.
But lots of fully unique assets is a big time (and therefore money) investment for a game whose theme is "one night, one party". Yeah we could just throw out two core styles of shirt and go with a few simple texture swaps. However, the problem with pursuing heavy customization for a fully 3D game like this (with, as we hope, increasingly high-detail assets) is the time investment required to output at least acceptable-looking objects/models. I'd love to make this the Saints Row/GTA/Skyrim of character customization-friendly adult games (complete with facial restructuring for Patrick and replacing his merlot with a four foot purple "toy"). We like these ideas, because just like you we're used to modern "good" sandboxy games having lots of customization. I'll open up a ticket for this latter idea at least, and check in again with the lead dev re: what we can do with character clothing "options". For example, if you throw a beer on Madison as part of Ashley's "Smooth Operator" Opportunity, then we could perhaps swap Madison's top back to her original, so that players at least have SOME way of experiencing the different looks we've been able to put together for characters. We could also try implementing some plot-based "look alterations". If we're able to eventually integrate with Steam Workshop, maybe that's also a path players could take themselves. Maybe this is something Mimic Studios or Unity themselves could give us guidance on, maybe not.
